Vestian
The goal
Vestian runs corporate real estate for businesses worldwide, end to end, from strategy to the keys. The job was the whole thing: a new brand, a new website, the marketing and operational materials the team runs on, and VPortal, the platform their clients use to manage a property portfolio. One engagement, brand to product.
The challenge
Corporate real estate is a trust business built on detail. A missed renewal date or a misread clause costs real money. So three things had to agree: a brand that reads as a global expert, a site that sells it and a product that makes the detail manageable. Most firms split that across vendors and hope it lines up. We did it as one.
On VPortal the constant trade-off was the AI: how far to lean into data extraction to save hours, without letting one bad extraction ripple through an entire portfolio. The answer was to keep pushing the capability while keeping a human in the loop, with QA checks and user validation on the data that matters.
My role
I led the engagement for Off/Menu, so the story held from the homepage through to the product UI. On VPortal I owned the product requirements and worked with Vestian's leadership to pin down their goal for each feature. I brought concepts back to the design team with the strategy and creative rationale, folded in the leadership's feedback and drove it through delivery. I also owned the AI development, defining where data extraction earned its place and where a human had to stay in the loop.
How I approached it
Start with the people who manage the space. VPortal had to make a messy portfolio feel handled: every location, lease, clause, critical date and dollar in one place, searchable from a single command bar. The brand and site then promised exactly what the product delivers, so nothing oversells.
Last, we found where the team lost hours. It was data entry, so we built AI extraction to pull dates and numbers straight out of lease documents and gave those hours back to work that needs a person.
A missed renewal date costs real money. VPortal exists so it never gets missed.
The result
A complete Vestian: the brand, the marketing site, the materials the team sells with and VPortal, a platform that turns a stack of leases into something a business can manage. The AI extraction cut the manual entry behind it.
