Medline
The goal
Medline is one of the largest medical supply companies in the country. Two jobs: redesign the order management system behind its digital business, and launch Candor, a direct-to-consumer scrub line built to compete with Figs in a $200 million market.
The challenge
Healthcare commerce is not forgiving. The buyer might be a nurse, a procurement lead or a patient at home, and the screen has to be clear and right for all of them. Candor added a second problem: a B2B giant had to learn to sell direct to the people wearing the scrubs.
My role
I led product across Medline's digital products, including Medline at Home, carrying both the order management redesign and the Candor launch strategy.
How I approached it
Clarity over cleverness. In healthcare a confusing screen is not just annoying, it can be a real problem, so every decision came back to one question: does this make the right thing obvious. For Candor, that meant a B2C platform that feels like a consumer brand, not a catalog.
In healthcare, a confusing screen is not just annoying. It can be a real problem.
The result
A redesigned order management experience behind more than $15 billion in orders, and a new B2C platform that put Medline in the scrubs fight.
